I have $7500 debt on my credit. No Credit Cards. All those accounts are closed. How can I raise my score?

I can actually pay off the $7500 on my credit next month with a lump sum I am getting. I have been approved to finance a Vehicle ($8000) over 3 years.. My credit score is 538 and most of the bills are medical and lots of small stuff. I have time, I'm only 24 but I have an excellent job and I dont wanna have bad credit hanging over my head forever.. Never got approved for a credit card...I have $7500 debt on my credit. No Credit Cards. All those accounts are closed. How can I raise my score?
Hold on before you cut any checks...You may be able to negotiate the complete removal of non credit card debts like defaulted cell, medical, utility bills etc. from your credit report with a Pay for Delete agreement. This is a written agreement where you get a signed agreement from the debt collector (PRIOR to making any payment) where they offer to remove the negative items from your credit files after an agreed-to amount is paid. They will NOT want to do this....all they want is your money and their commission and they could not care less about your credit rating....Still, you have something they want (money) and that puts you in a position to negotiate on this issue. Example letter:

I am willing to resolve this issue if your firm sends me a written agreement that you will remove all negative notations from my credit report after the agreed-to amount is paid to you. Upon receipt of this letter I will mail you a USPS money order for this amount.

----------------------------------

Again, they are not going to want to do this...if they simply refuse to remove it, then you want to negotiate that they will update your credit report to ';Paid in Full.” .

- Get all terms of any settlement deal you reach with debt collectors IN WRITING BEFORE you give them your money. This letter should state the settlement amount and that the account will be settled/paid in full upon receipt of this amount from you. Never accept settlement deals over the phone that are not backed up in written terms. If you don’t, the debt collectors will deny that any settlement was ever made once they get your “settlement” money and will come back demanding more money from you.I have $7500 debt on my credit. No Credit Cards. All those accounts are closed. How can I raise my score?
Paying off the $7500 will help
Best way to increase your credit score is to have a loan or credit card and pay on time. Credit cards are OK as long as you manage them. Just don't charge what you can't afford and make your payments by the due date.
pay off your past due.

never miss a payment

hang on to your oldest credit card

do not open a bunch of credit accounts

sounds like you have a mix of credit, car and cards which is good.

538 sucks, mine is 850
Pay off any lingering balances on your closed accounts. Pay off your medical bills. Keep paying for your car with the regular monthly payments, i.e. as long as possible to help build a better credit history. And last but not least, steer clear of money grubbers who say they want to marry you.
The important thing is to always make you payments on time but it will take awhile. Even one missed payment will undo any improvement of your credit score helped by on-time payments.

With your score currently at 538, it is obvious that you were not paying your bills on-time in the past.
finance a Vehicle ($8000) over 3 years that will help show you can make payments you could also get like a $500 to $1,000 loan tell bank or financial institution you want the loan kept in a savings account you don't want to be able to get it out until final payment is made you will also get interest on it if financial institution allows it while in your account it will be a secured loan it will show creditors you can pay your loans in a prompt manner but don't miss any payments or be late whatever loan you decide to get hope this helps you
pay the 7500 off and get a credit card and keep it paid monthly
1. Pay off the $7500.

2. Make all the payments on the vehicle loan on time.

3. In the future, pay your medical bills and ';small stuff'; promptly, so that they do not go onto your credit report.

Getting a cellphone plan with bad credit.?

How can you get a cell phone with bad credit or no credit?

Would it help to buy the phone out right?!Getting a cellphone plan with bad credit.?
You'll have to put down a depositGetting a cellphone plan with bad credit.?
Get one of the prepaid kind, like Tracfone or Virgin.
you can still get a cellphone they will just make you pay a large deposit. I have the same problem so I use a prepaid.
Cricket!!!
T Mobile has several prepaid phones at different prices. I have the cheapy at $30.00 without the perks like a camera. I bought it at Wal-mart, and buy $50.00 T-Mobile phone cards about every 30-40 days. No credit checks, no contracts. ALSO, a new company is popping up all over the place....Cricket. They advertise no credit checks and easy terms too.
Get a cricket cell phone!!!

They don't look up credit to be approved for a phone at all and you don't pay for minutes there is just a monthly fee every month with taxes that you pay.

If you want, you don't even need to go to a cricket store to purchase the phone...you can buy a new cricket cell phone at walmart (which is cheaper than at the cricket store) and you just call the number on the box to activate your phone and add what features you want to the phone (which is what you are really paying for every month, not the amount of usage since they don't charge by minutes used). Also you might be able to find a store that sells used cricket cell phones that are in good condition which probably the cheapest way to go in terms of purchasing the phone and then call to activate and buy features for the phone.

If you are absolutely a brand new customer of cricket than they usually have deals where you buy a cell phone from the cricket store and get a rebate back, sometimes even a full rebate so that the cost ends up being nothing for you (just be sure to keep your reciept when you purchase the phone to use for the rebate)
You will have to give them a deposit. Mine was $125.00. I got it back + interest after a yr.

  • How do you get 0% APR on an auto loan, is it past credit or a promotion only?

I have no credit, never had a credit card and never have taken out a loan for anything. I'm 22 and my husband and I were looking into buying a new vehicle. Is 0% apr only a promotion or does it have to do with your past credit. The loan rate for the bank was 6.5%. If I wait will a 0% happen or am I just stuck with 6.5% since I have no credit? How do you get 0% APR on an auto loan, is it past credit or a promotion only?
If you have been APPROVED for a rate of 6.5% with no credit history that is very good. Most people in your situation would have an interest rate in the teens or higher.

The 0% interest rate is usually for people with above average credit, and no one is going to give this rate to a person with no credit. How do you get 0% APR on an auto loan, is it past credit or a promotion only?
Usually the 0% financially has strings attached... one of them is that you have to have a certain credit score - such as over 700 for example. I would be surprised if you have no credit at all that you would be eligible for this promotional rate. If you want a valid place to go check your credit, go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com and you can get a free credit report for one or all of the 3 credit agencies for free. Do not click on any of the promotional offers that you may end up paying for, just get your free report. You are permitted by law to get a free report once a year.

If you have no credit cards at all you can get one, buy something small and make regular payments on it to get started to establish credit. For more info go to:

How can i get a credit card with no credit or bad credit and w/o having to send in money?

it begins being client of a bank and speaks there.I found interesting information about your answer %26amp; credit card options here. Goodhttp://all-debt-consolidation-loan.blogs luck! How can i get a credit card with no credit or bad credit and w/o having to send in money?
http://creditcard.creditinspector.info has excellent info related to dealing with credit cards. Check it out!How can i get a credit card with no credit or bad credit and w/o having to send in money?
In my experience there are two types of Bad Credit Credit Cards. One is a secured card, and the other has a much higher rate of interest. Both can be used to rebuild your credit worthiness after getting back on your feet. Secured credit cards are great for rebuilding your credit. You send the credit card company a pre deposit amount set by the company%26lt;!--This amount will be equal to your credit limit. Pay over your minimum every month and send your payment in before the due date and you will build your credit up gradually. Never miss a payment, be late on a payment, or go over your credit limit even by a small amount.

    http://badcredits.awardspace.com/credit-card-for-people-with-bad-credit.htm

You don't want the company to ever have to take from your pre deposit amount because they want you to handle your account just like you would an unsecured card. A great thing about this pre deposit amount that you send in is it can act as a savings account even earning a little--%26gt;bit of interest for you. After establishing yourself with the credit card company, they may decide to give you a unsecured credit card or increase the limit on the one you have with them without having to make another deposit. Secured credit cards are a good choice for anyone wishing to rebuild their credit history.
Major credit card issuers like Discover, American Express and Chase offer a credit card for bad credit holders. A 'shopping' card offers you an unsecured line of credit from specific sellers. Use these cards to increase your credit rating, since the credit bureaus will be informed about your timely payments.

Take care to ensure your credit is good by making intelligent credit choices. Keep low balances, do not be extravagant and take care to pay off your balances promptly every month.

Does anyone know how if it is possible to get refinancing after my credit score was destroyed from fraud.?

The results of the fraud ( perpetrated by a family member) was to file bankruptcy. I recently settled my chapter 13 bankruptcy and avoided foreclosure. Now with a low credit score and no credit cards, I still own my home but wish to refinance to consolidate my first and second mortgages at a lower interest rate. Are there any programs through Fannie Mae or other federal programs?Does anyone know how if it is possible to get refinancing after my credit score was destroyed from fraud.?
Usually, you need to wait 2 years after a bk and you can do FHA. Sometimes, they will approve at 18 months with DOCUMENTED special circumstances.

How to build up girlfriend credit?

My girlfriend credit is poor or they say she has none. Around 9 years ago she filed chapter 7 bankruptcy, but since than she has had no credit. Until she got with me she never even applied for any type of credit. The only bad credit she has are some med. bill. We want to build it up but she can't get approved for anything. Whats the best thing to do????How to build up girlfriend credit?
She's got to find somewhere that will give her credit, and she has to pay back what she owes, in full, and on time. This will build her credit and allow her to do the same with other agencies.

If she's already filed for Chapter 7, she'll have to prove herself even more. That's pretty much a stamp of ';failure';, which can make businesses/companies/banks very leery of offering her credit. Like one of the previous posters said, keep your finances separate. How to build up girlfriend credit?
I think you want to go get her a type of loan ,like a car :) least that you can get, then keep the loan very very good.
have her open a money market account and she will get a credit card to start building her credit then a couple of store cards but only charge things you can afford to pay for in full when the bill arrives no minimum payments please. Let the credit work for you and not against you...
The best ad fastest way she can establish some sort of credit is with a secured credit card. my parent wanted to buy a house and since my moms credit wasnt great and my step dad didnt have any credit due to bankruptcy 20 years ago they told him to get a secured card and within 6 months they bought there house

Lookin 2 Get My 1st Apartment but I have horrible credit.....?

Okay so I have been saving up money to get my first apartment I have no rental history but when I was younger I made a terrible mistake by opening up credit cards. I have very bad credit, my credit score is 515, thats how bad it is. I was wondering if anyone could tell exactly what I could do so that I am able to get an apartment. I don't have anyone to cosign so thats out of the question. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, except for anyone saying to stay with parents etc.... Thanks in advanceLookin 2 Get My 1st Apartment but I have horrible credit.....?
    Do not bother with scams.

Sadly, you are going to have to live on the side of the tracks where credit is not an issue. Yours is about as low as it gets, that coupled with no history makes you a terrible candidate as a tenant. You did not have a problem opening credit cards, you had a problem with taking money and refusing to repay it.

There are landlords who rent units that are not so nice, and they have trouble getting anyone willing to rent from them....that is where you need to go.

Hi, I'm trying to get a small loan of about $6500 for a used car. I have $6000 to put down on it and have been building credit for 21 months now (according to my bank). I have no one that can co-sign for me. I would have NO PROBLEM paying this loan off, it's just an issue of credit. My credit is good, I just haven't been building it long enough. So what do I do? I could pay this loan off within a year easily (because I'm also selling a car too) , so what's the problem? My bank has said no to me, even if I had $10,000 to put down right now they couldn't approve me... What can I do? Thanks for answers...How can I get a loan with no credit or co-signer?
Auto finance is what I do for a living and you talking to the wrong bank anyone that has been building their credit for 21-months and has $6,000.00 to put down on a $12,500.00 car should not have any problem getting approved as long as you meet the rest of the lenders guidelines.

I would suggest trying a credit union and if that fails find a large car dealer that advertises Special Finance and talk to the Manager they will be able to help you.How can I get a loan with no credit or co-signer?
No credit, no co-signer, no loan.
    buy a $6000 car.
Wow 6k down on a 6.5k car? That is awesome and rare! There are banks out there who will finance you. Just because a small handful said no, doesn't mean you can't be financed. I am sure you can be. Congrats on being so repsonsible at such a young age! Visit the link below and read reviews on auto financing lenders and pick the one you like and apply online.

Friend wants to use my Dad's Credit-Card !!?

I have a good friend whom I met 5 months ago at college.

Earlier this morning she called me and asked me if she could have my dad's credit card number to register online for some tests she is planning to take in another country, and she has promised to pay me in cash.

She has put me in a very awkward situation. She(her family)doesnt have a credit card(credit cards are not used much in my country).I dont feel safe giving her my dad's card details even though she might not do other things BUT I have no idea how to say no without hurting her feelings or our friendship. The worst thing is that she put her Mum on the phone to explain to me what she needs the card for.I havent told my Dad either because it'll get too complicated.

Would it sound reasonable and convincing if I told her my dad doesnt think its safe using the card online and hence cannot give it to her?

Any ideas, people, would be great! Her mum's expecting me to call her back tomorrow with the details!! :SFriend wants to use my Dad's Credit-Card !!?
NO, don't give out your dad's credit card information. Tell her you can't make up an excuse. That's your dad's credit card, it's not for your friends to use. Never!Friend wants to use my Dad's Credit-Card !!?
no matter what don't do it, stick to your guns , im sure your father would say hell no i would its for my daughter an her alone ..but you should talk to your father about this really its his card
nooooooooooo please noooo, that's how things go downhill, never give out credit info!!! Let her apply for her own, tell her to get capital one credit cards, that's the best card for people with no credit.
Real friends would not ask for something like that. Even if she is one of your best friends, never give out info like that. Explain to her that she can not do that, and if she doesn't leave you alone have your dad call the family. Best of Luck!
NO WAY--NO HOW do you give a ';5 month friend'; your dad's credit card info!!

This is a scam!! Don't even offer cash to this person. She's not a friend. Once she gets the number, she can get the maximum amount of cash and stick your dad with the bill. This is really a no brainer.

You really do not owe this girl or her mum any explanation. Just say NO.

Tell your dad about it and let him report them. The police might need to have a talk with mum and her daughter.

Don't call them. If her mum calls for the info---you tell her NO and hang up. This person is probably not her mum but another co-conspirator in the scam.
Absolutely NOT. Think about it this way, if it was a credit card in your name and your friend wanted to lend it out to some guy you didnt know...would you feel ok about it?

If she is such a close friend, she will understand the absolute rudeness of making such arequest.

it is like borrowing from a loan shark , they will charge you outrageous fees and interest and will come after you as soon as you are 1 minute late paying , DO NOT deal with these people, it will ruin your life,

walk or beg rides until you can buy the ugliest car you can find that runs for cash
They are obviously sub prime lenders

You may be asked to put some money down

You definately will get a out of this world interest rate...probably 20% or worse.

You would do better paying cash for a car and driving it until you can get your credit back in shape enough to get a decent loan.

What are these no credit no money no problem loan places?

like we see them all the time on route 1 i live in new hampshire and we want to finance a car and we got bad credit but they say bad credit no credit no money no problem what the catch just high interest or what the real catch will they lend us 10000$ with bad credit? we want to get a 2005-2007 chevy impala or saturn ion... ? and how does it work do they give us the money we go to a dealer and get the car? or are there dealers connected with them? will they have thoese types of cars for around 10000$?What are these no credit no money no problem loan places?
They ARE the dealers and have high interest lenders linker to them. You won't find a 2005 or newer vehicle on the lot and will overpay for anything they have. Any car they offer for $10,000 would sell at a normal lot for $7,000 to $8,000.

Capital one credit card, credit increase?

has anyone had there limit increased with capital one credit card? if so how long is it before they increase it?

I was told that they increase it automaticaly on the 4th statement, is that right?

i only have a 拢200 limit but i use it a lot and have never gone over my limit.

for example i could use the card for over 拢400 worth of transactions in one single month but i never go over my limit, i just keep pying about 拢100 a week back on to the card and then use it again.

do you think i will get a credit limit since they can see i have no problem repaying it?Capital one credit card, credit increase?
I can't see why not. Give Capital One a call and see what they can do for you. They will have to do another credit check, but as long as you've kept on top of your bills, then this should come back fine.Capital one credit card, credit increase?
when you get a credit card you go through a credit check, credit card companies advise you wait about 6 months before going through a credit rating again.

if you are making regular payments to your card and in employment no late payment charges you stand a good chance of getting a limit increase after the 6 months.
If that's your entire credit limit, the credit card company doesn't trust you at all.

They're not going to raise your credit limit if they didn't give you much credit to start with.

And paying it 4 times doesn't tell them that you're good with paying. Try years of payments.
No, credit doesn't work like that: By paying off your card in full, you're a bad customer, as they're not making any money out of you. If you want a bigger limit, leave a balance on the card %26amp; pay the minimum for a few months.

If you can afford to pay it off, you shouldn't have it - they're just a money spinner offered in the hope that you'll run into financial trouble %26amp; then they'll be making money out of you for months or years on end!
they have never increased mine and I have had it for years.

i also have only a 拢200 limit, although i had to have a pre-paid deposit before they gave me one.

    dont hold your breath
Most banks will not give anyone an increase in credit limit until you have a proven record of timely payments and more then minimum. This usually takes a year at least. Once you have had it for a year, no harm in calling and requesting an increase.

If your credit history is not too great you may not ever see an increase (Capital One is tight on giving out increases) I know, I have one account that I have used maybe 4 times in the past (going on 10 yrs now) and they never increased it.

Good luck and hope this answers your question

We want to get our first home...?

So my boyfriend and myself are going to start looking for our first home at the beginning of the year.

His credit is amazing, however mine is all sorts of mess up, or at least I'm pretty sure it is.

I had a new car and a loan in my name, ended up losing both my jobs, along with my car, and couldn't pay either loan...

I have had an apartment in my name for almost a year. (My lease is up at the end of July) and I was approved for a medical credit card (with my boyfriend as a co-signer), and paid off 1300.00 6 months.

A lot of people tell me that all of that should have improved my credit a lot, but I still have a lot of money I owe.

Basically, I'm scared that no bank will approve us because of my credit.

Does anyone know if there is something else I can do, or any suggestions about how we should go about applying. i.e. Put the loan in only his name. Put it in my name as him as a co-signer. Or put it in both our names.

I would just like to rest easy... Please help!!We want to get our first home...?
    Hi,

So one way or another you need more money

You can make money online at http://yourl.ir/workfromhome

    1. NEVER purchase property with an unrelated party except with a business partner under a proper written partnership agreement. Who gets the property if you two split? Married couples have a court enforcing proper legal guidelines. Singles have NO protection whatsoever. If you buy property before you are married, you WILL have problems.

    2. To purchase property now, you need: 20% cash down payment, plus closing costs, plus 3 - 6 months of reserves; credit scores of at least 680/700 (each); 3 years track record on the job. Some mortgages may get approved with a less than 20% down, but there is a trend the past couple years now that lower-down payment mortgages develop ';last-minute glitches'; and have not been funded by closing. This is a financial disaster for a buyer since there are monetary penalties for failing to complete the deal by the closing date.

    3. Your money management skills are clearly inadequate, and it is entirely premature for you to think about buying a house. Clean up your act. Take savings out of each paycheck first. Then pay off your debts, then live on what's left. Stop spending money!

    4. Check your report at annualcreditreport.com. This is the official site of Equifax, Experian %26amp; TransUnion as mandated by Congress. You get one free report from each of the 3 bureaus per year.

If you do not marry, he should buy the house solely in his name. You have NO rights to the house. The half of the mortgage you will pay will constitute ';rent'; and you pay half of the utilities, maintenance, etc, just as if you were roommates or renting a room from an owner. He can ask you to leave at any time, and you must do so immediately or he can call the sheriff and have you removed. If you were joint tenants on a lease for an apartment, you would have more rights than as a guest or renter of a room in a house someone else owes.
If he has great credit and a decent job, he might be able to buy a house on his own.

Having you as a cosigner isn't going to help or mean anything if your credit is bad.
And WHY do you not know your credit rating?! Pull your credit report, it's free once/year. Also, pay to find your FICO score. I'm guessing it would be better to have your guy get the loan AND the house in his name. You would basically be a renter. Keep on cleaning up your act. It may take a while, but please don't give up. It's a great feeling!

    Thanks.

Will I die with a low credit?

I don't get it. I currently have approx. 2,500$ in debt from a credit card and a loan for the purchase of a computer. I admit I was delinquent in the past, being a student, not having a permanent job, and being financially illiterate. Last year, I had 3 acct in collection all with disputes on my favour. We found mutual agreement, and I arranged to pay them all in full. I've been working for a year now, spend a full year at home trying to reduced everything to 0$ I have 3 acct active on my credit, 2 credit cards, and a loan. one credit card is closed because of last year delinquency, 20% paid, 1 card is at 0$ balance, the loan is at 20% paid. 6 months ago, I tried to get a raised on my limit, the credit counsellor said no, because I need more history of good payment and some savings, he said wait 6 more months. I waited 6 months. Despite having to pay for school, and all monthly expenses, I managed to save 1,800$. This time it's another story, they are referring me to equifax, and they are not sure why they can't increase my limit. the purpose of the increase was really to cover the loan and the closed credit, so that I could transfer my saving into my credit card, and still be in a good position financial. My CC that I've been with for 5 years don't want to increase my limit at my current 11% rate, but so other random company is willing to loan me at 32%. Is it how things work??? It seems like even the credit counsellor didn't know what was going on, saying that it was procedures. When I asked him which procedures, he said that's private. I don't get it....Will I die with a low credit?
Seems like your debt to income ratio may be too high.

A creditor will consider you a liability if you are using more than 30% of your available credit limits on your card. Go over 75% of your limit and they will consider you subprime.

For your future remember that carrying balances on your credit card drastically reduces your credit worthiness. More than 50% of the population pay in full each month never paying interest. These are the people with the higher scores.

Remember for your future that landlords check reports, so do employers and car insurance companies (you will pay more).

Use credit cards wisely - don't let them use you. Stop carrying balances.

    /Will I die with a low credit?
Right now credit it really tight and it's a bad time to try to get credit with your history. I would pay down all my credit cards and simply use one card and pay the balance monthly. You might also go to a credit union or bank that offers a pre-funded credit card. You put your money in savings, which earns interest, and they'll give you a credit card up to the balance in savings. You're essentially borrowing your own money, but if you pay off the balance every month, you are establishing good credit, and aren't paying any interest, and will eventually be able to get your score up. Also, take advantage of your free annual report from each agency and make sure everything is correct.

  • Boosting my credit score?

Hi, all my life i have been terrible with money. Over the past 10 years or so i have been in thousands of pounds worth of debt which thankfully i have had family to help bail me out. Now my credit score is crap, i cant get anything on credit, no credit cards or loans, i even struggle to open a basic bank account.

What i would like to know is how to boost or increase my credit score/rating?

I have cancelled all my direct debits now (bar the few important ones) and pay my mortgage and bills etc over the phone. Does this still boost my credit score if i show i am paying things on time although it isn't direct debit out of my account?

Sorry for the essay ha ha, any help would be most appreciated :)Boosting my credit score?
Well I hear that simple things really make a difference. Can you handle a car payment? I dont know your financial situation, but why dont you try to save a few thousand dollars, and get an inexpensive used car and make the payments every month. Also, I know that smaller jewelry places like in the mall that have their own finance company, will do really good for you, just the same as a credit card. Buy something nice for you or your wife, make it a thousand dollars, and you might have to put half down, but make the montly payments on it, and that will boost. Also I heard gas cards, but those might be just as hard to get as a credit card.Boosting my credit score?
once everything paid off u get no credit history for atleast 3yrs, some of ur old debt companies have left some really bad scars on ur credit history, get a latest report of ur credit history n find out wot's rong there.

thn speak to same company where u have obtined ur credit history how to improve it now.
Thinking of ways to boost credit score is not that hard as some people would imagine. Having a good credit score is so important in a persons life. Applying for loans and credit cards would be a breeze for those who have very good credit score. If you already have a good%26lt;!--credit score, you will want to boost it in order to obtain the best loan and credit card deals possible. For example, if you have a credit score of 688 and the loan company will reduce interest rate if you get a credit score of 690.

    http://badcreditloans.awardspace.com/Buy_Your_Next_Car_without_Improving_Your_Bad_Credit_Score.html

The two points can mean thousands of dollars in savings from paying interest. This is why it is very important for you to improve your credit score even if you already have a good credit score. It will mean lower interest rates and also more chances of getting the loans you need. There are several--%26gt;ways on how you can significantly improve your credit score. Some ways takes time to achieve and some takes only a few weeks or even a few days to do. However, if you start working on it as soon as possible, you will see that it will be worth all the effort.

Would getting a third credit card and using it properly (not carrying a balance over to each month, no......?

late payments, etc) inprove my credit score? I have two credit cards, both with about 1800 dollars on them. I don't know my credit score but I know its not good by how little of a credit limit credit cards companies are willing to offer me. I've been late twice and I've been carrying that kind of balance for about 2 years now. I'm finally starting to pay them off, which should happen in approx. 2 1/2 to 3 years. If I get another credit card and only put 25 dollars a month on it, and ALWAYS pay the full balance off at the end of month and have no late payments etc. will that, and paying off my debt improve my credit score or just counter-act my other debt? HELP!!! Thank you!Would getting a third credit card and using it properly (not carrying a balance over to each month, no......?
Adding another card would reduce your credit score. It would increase your revolving credit availability, which is one of those ';bottom line'; numbers they look at when you apply for credit. Take the money you anticipate paying on a new card and apply it towards one of the other cards to pay it down. It seems that if it's going to take you 3 years to pay off $3600, you need to concentrate on increasing your income more than increasing your credit.Would getting a third credit card and using it properly (not carrying a balance over to each month, no......?
    Hi,

I used ';Credit Solution'; to settle my debt and improve my credit score. They managed to reduce my debt up to 58%.It's legitimate.I came across this company on NBC News Special Edition.Check it out here:

    http://shurl.net/5oX
It would likely improve your score, for two reasons:

    1) Increase your credit available, thereby decreasing your utilization ratio

    2)Showing more ';on time'; payments.

However having a newer accoutn dings a little too....but if you're aiming ot have better credit in 2-3 years, this would be older by then.

You DO NOT have to carry a balance AT ALL on your new card in order to get the good payment credit. So get the new card but dont use it at all, or transfer a small balance over from your other card. There's no need to use it an incur more debt, even $25 a month worth.
As long as you keep paying off that third card's balance, every month, you will not be increasing your debt to income ratio. A bad debt to income ratio is bad.

However, if you get approved for that third credit card, it COULD help your credit score by a bit, since the card represents some increased borrowing power. UNUSED borrowing power is good.

Would i be accepted for credit as soon as i turn 18?

Im 18 next month and was wandering how i can go about getting credit , as i am planing on going to university in a few years and will have to do to 2 courses before i am eligble to apply and i want to have good credit when i start to be able to get good interest rates and higher overdrafts, loans etc to be able to pay for it all. What i was planning on doing was this , apply for a credit card for people with bad credit / no credit (Barclaycard Initial or Capitalone classic) and make purchases and pay back the balance in full as i am getting a claim and would use the credit card to buy stuff then pay the amount i spent straight onto the card (or buy a postal order for the ammount to send to them once they send me the statement so i dont spend the money).

Would this be alright to do if i get accepted?

Also i want to open an account with nationwide with a visa debit card, i already have a nationwide account but i only have a cash card but they are upgrading cashcards to cashcard plus which is a visa debit, but it can only be used within the UK, not abroad and is not as widely as accepted as the other visa debit (something they do with payment processing), but you must also have decent credit to be accepted for the better visa debit card, which i want to get as i want to use it next year as i am going to tenerife, would my credit be alright when im 18 to get that type of account ?

Thanks!Would i be accepted for credit as soon as i turn 18?
once you are 18 you can if you want to apply to either capitol one or vanquis as both card s help you build credit if you pay on time and in full every month vanquis interest rates are pretty high thoughWould i be accepted for credit as soon as i turn 18?
Contrary to what you have been force-fed by the media and society, you can exist in life without a credit card. Too much emphasis is placed on ';building up credit.'; May people say their credit card is for emergencies. I contend that you can save cash and keep an emergency fund in a separate account in the bank. Don't feel like you need to conform to what is normal. Being ';normal'; involves debt that is counter to financial success.

Bad plan---too much temptation to use it!

Best to just pay as much as possible on the two you have. NEVER pay the minimum, you'll be in debt forever!!

Bite the bullet for a couple years if necessary until you pay it all off.

Another option might be to get a loan from your bank or CU, pay off both cards, and then pay as much each month as you can on the loan. That's called a ';consolidation'; loan, and if you can get an interest rate lower than on the cards, it's usually a good idea to do it.Would getting a third credit card and using it properly (not carrying a balance over to each month, no......?
No, it really won't make that much difference with you carrying a balance on your other cards. Just put the money to paying off the cards; that will increase your score.

Yes, getting a third credit card would theoretically increase your credit score because your total credit line is now higher and you are using a lower percentage of your total credit line.

Since you are having problems with two cards, it may not make sense for you to get a third unless you can get a 0%, no fee balance transfer.

Every place is different. They have something going on right now kinda like that. Saying if you bring home 250 or more you can get a loan with no money down. Best thing would to contact the dealership and ask them about the things. They will be able to tell you all the details. 2 years ago i had same problem. I got a 9,000 truck and had to put 15% down. They gave me really high rate at 24% but with how my credit was at the time i had to do that. My payments are 250 a month for 48 months. It has help my credit a lot having it on there. After 6months-year you can try going to bank and getting loan for the car for lower rate. Credit Acceptance is the loan place i went threw. Hopefully everything works out. What are these no credit no money no problem loan places?
Oh, they are simply places where you can get a loan with the exception that you pay them back 10x's the amount you borrow.
I suggest buying a car for cash. It may not be nice but it will get where you need to go and not put you in financial danger. Or try a buy here pay here car lot. Those payday loan places will charge you like 35% interest or as much as allowed by law and if you don't pay they will litigate you and probably get more than you owed in the first place.

    No that will not help.

You need to build up a credit score on all your cards not just one.

Its the worst one that will count.

Pay them ALL off every month.

    Dont be late.

Dont go over your limit and your score will improve but it will take a couple of years to get better.Would getting a third credit card and using it properly (not carrying a balance over to each month, no......?
No don't do that...having your credit ran and having another card will lower your score...just work on paying off those balances. If possible, consolidate the two cards into one loan, it will raise your score. Stop using credit cards, they are a tricky game. Good luck.
You may not even qualify to get a third credit card. And adding another line of credit could result in your existing credit card companies raising your interest rates -- deem you a higher credit risk.

A much better idea is to work on paying off those existing credit card balances completely. Take every penny you can squeeze out of your budget and put it on the highest interest rate card, while making minimum payments on the other. When the highest rate card is paid off, move to the other one.

If you really work at it, you could pay off that $3600 in 18 months.
i do not know if it will help your credit score but what you should do is go to http://freecreditcardsforyou.com and get a 0% balance transfer rate card . there are alot of them that have 0% interest for 12 months or more. That will save you alot of money in interest and all the money you pay will go towards the total ballance. If you cut out alot of the little things like going to the bar or eating fast food or starbucks and put that money towards the credit you will be amazed how quick you will have that paid off.. but do your self a favor and when you have the ballance transfered cut up the other credit cards
No - but, if you do that - look for the best rate here - what I got was - a discover card - 0% interest for a year. this save us ALOT of money since my fiancee had bad credit and a high interest rate - You would have a balance transfer of say - $50 (research this site for the best all the way around) - but, we saved that in 2 months of not paying interest because we had $4000 on it.

So - No, it does not help your credit score - but, if you decide to do it - research for the best credit card deal.

NOTE: If you do a balance transfer on a card - do NOT use that card until everything is completely paid off - because what the cc company does is - the thing that is paid off first is the no interest stuff- and the thing that is paid off LAST is the thing you charged with a higher interest rate - so, for those that do a balance transfer and use that same card for purchases- there is no point to even doing it.

They can be legalized loan sharks. The rates are even higher than you think when you add all the fees in. Some of them put a GPS thing in your car, so if you are even 5 minutes late with a payment they can disable it remotely. Then they know where it is and just come and get it. Ugggh. You can get some small cars, brand new for about what you want to pay. The dealers are dying out there. • I am 20, paid off & cancelled all credit acct's, have bad credit, and can't get credit, any suggestions?

I am 20 years old, ran up a lot of credit with promotional cards not understanding how they worked and was very stupid. I have become a lot smarter with budgeting my money, but am not able to get credit anywhere to begin building credit. I have canceled all my credit accounts and am now looking to begin to rebuild which I now understand to be an even ';dumber'; move to make by cancelling all the accounts. I don't know what to do, I'm stuck without the ability to even rent an apartment and I have a good job that pays 70,000 a year salaried which I've been at for quite some time. I could really use any suggestions anyone has for how to help improve my credit score, while having bad credit, no credit lines, and no one will give me credit to let me prove myself!

Thank you in advance for all of your help.I am 20, paid off %26amp; cancelled all credit acct's, have bad credit, and can't get credit, any suggestions?
Go to your local bank and ask for a small line of credit - which can be as small as $500. Pay back that installment loan on time to help establish credit. Your rate may be higher because you have a previous negative credit history, but most banks are helpful at extending new lending opportunities.

Some banks will use a savings account as collateral for the line of credit, so you may need to open a savings account for the $500 as a buffer in case you were to default.I am 20, paid off %26amp; cancelled all credit acct's, have bad credit, and can't get credit, any suggestions?
J, try searching ';secured credit'; and see if you can find a bank, which offers secured credit cards. What essentially happens is that you are creating what begins as a pre-paid credit card, and then gradually increases to become more like a regular credit card over time.

You may deposit, say 200.00 and you will have a 200.00 credit line. This helps, when you have to provide credit cards to rent hotel rooms/rental cars, etc., and then still pay for the transaction in cash. Keep the credit limit small, and only purchase things on the card, when you know you have the money to pay for them in full at statement time.

You will build your credit slowly, using the card in this manner and, by keeping your credit line low, you can prevent yourself from going on a buying frenzy and running up interest and such later. You buy $100 pair of running shoes, you come home, write the check with the address from your last statement, drop it in the mail. That way, you're paid off already, and don't even have to wait for the bill to come.

Don't forget to read and re-read your interest levels and such,so you know what you're getting into.

How do I get credit (with no credit)?

I've tried getting different types of credit cards (not all at the same time of course, within maybe a years time). A lot of places require a cosigner but my parents have terrible credit (Due to hospital bills and school loans) and I dont have no one else to cosign. How do I get credit (with no credit)?
I'm pretty much in the same situation, got denied by my bank for credit cards after being with em for years too! I instantly got approved for a secured credit card at CapitalOne, the ';Capital one Secured Mastercard';. It requires a security deposit ($75-$300). If you have no credit i would think you would have to pay a small deposit and get at least $500 of credit limit. But yeah, try for a ';secured credit card';, or maybe a personal loan? Hope that helps somewhat.

Is it important to build my credit score?? mom said no, gf said yes.?

I am 22 years old, I never had any credit history (credit card, phone bill, etc).

How important is it to build my credit?

    My mom said ';you do not need to get credit, just pay with what you have when you have it';

    My GF: ';its very important that you build your credit score, especially if you want to get a house and other things in the future';

So what should I do? WHo is more correct??

thanksIs it important to build my credit score?? mom said no, gf said yes.?
Your credit score, although not Life Threatening important, is Essential for you financial health. Having a good Credit Score can help you with the following:

    - Getting Phone activation without Down Payment

    - Getting Loans/Mortgages/Line of Credit (Credit Score affects the amount that can be borrowed and the interest rate the bank will charge)

    - Well Practically anything to do with owing/barrowing/using money

A Good Credit Score is good for you in your long term financial development.

Improving/developing your credit score is easy. Here are some examples:

    - Get a credit card in your name and either don't use it / pay off balance every month / (or at least keep balance below 50% of credit limit.

    - Get phone/Utility ect bills in your name and pay them on time.

    - If you ever going to be late on a payment, phone the company and let them know and explain. Often this will stop them from reporting this on your credit history.

What would two 18 year olds need to do to rent an apartment with no credit history? Is it possible?

What would we have to do to get an apartment? How do we get credit? If our credit isn't bad because we haven't used it, can we still be approved? Would we have to co-sign with a person with credit? What would two 18 year olds need to do to rent an apartment with no credit history? Is it possible?
Just because you don't have credit yet doesn't mean that you can't get an apartment. They'll require references, as well as proof of sufficient income to pay the rent. You'll have to put up the usual security deposit and first month's rent. Some states allow landlords to collect first and last month's rent in advance so you may have to come up with that.

I used to rent some properties out and never accepted or asked for a cosignor. More hassle than it was worth.

Especially with younger prospective tenants, their look and behavior (clean and neat, well spoken, etc. NOT race!) would usually factor in. For the most part they didn't meet my standard qualifications so saying no was entirely defensible.

Once you do get accepted, be a good tenant! That will help you well into the future. Pay your rent on time, stick to the terms of your lease, keep things neat and orderly, keep the parties to a minimum and the noise to zero. What would two 18 year olds need to do to rent an apartment with no credit history? Is it possible?
If you are two chicks, just double up on the landlord.
You would have to get someone to co-sign for you.

If you make more than 2.5x the rent a month at your job, there's a chance that you can cos-gni yourself, evne with no credit.
You probably will get approved. If you have no credit, apartments will probably ask for some references and a down payment. If you have bad credit, you might need a co-signer. Apartments tend to be pretty open-minded about credit problems.
Oh yeah, some places claim they run credit but alot of them don't. You might have to shop around some but you'll find somewhere that'll rent to ya. Also keep in mind renting a house, those are generally done by John and Jane Doe who go by gut feeling. The big disadvantage for you comes from your age. Two 18 year olds means parties and destruction etc. Just shop around.
Make sure you rent from an old man that is a foreigner (Italian, german, russian, or ukraine usually). He will accept you as long as you aren't ethinic (alot of these guys are racist). Im serious it works!
I would just talk to land lords about your situation. A lot of places will rent without a co-signer as long as your honest about stuff and have a steady job.
You would need a co-signer, like a parent, with a credit history.

The issue is that since you have no credit history, you basically can't be trusted to pay the rent or put down a security deposit.
Well here in La. there are plenty of apt.'s you can get without a credit check. And even without credit you may still be approved. You just have to try but tell them you have no credit b4 and see what they say if they say that you will probably not be able to get one without credit then dont let them pull up your credit record.
A CO SIGNER OR THE FIRST AND LAST MTHS RENT AND THE DEPOSIT
Typically apartments will rent to you with bad/no credit, but they might require more money up front. A larger damage deposit, and more than 2 months rent, to move in. With my credit established, most apartments I've lived in (5 to date) usually asked for first, last, and security deposit, and they were often flexible on having to get it all before I moved in.

If you can show them pay stubs with sufficient income, you can often get them to lower their requirements.
Ya gotta live in an inexpensive complex, with several vacancies, and catch them when they need to fill empty apartments. If the place you're looking for is $600 or less you might be able to get it without a co-signer, if you've got a good work history and are currently employed and appear stable.

The nicer the apartment complex, the more financial questions they'll ask. Nice places DO check references, bank accounts, and how long you've been working at your current job. I live in a gated community and they sweated me for my checking, money market account, and stock portfolio.
The decision is made by the manager or landlord .No credit is seen better than bad credit .Her I do request a co signer , usually a parent . Work history a big plus ! I ask that only one be on lease to stop the my lease not yours . They can both move in but I look at a lot police record ? Last living place , work history , savings , etc.,. But our rule is under 21 years = co signer . And almost every situation they weren't here the full lease .Now becomes neg. renter listing , that landlord association has available here .Making it very hard to get a nice place to rent .And if one of you were ever neg. on my back round checks ,I would considered if all first / last / security paid up front . To protect property for so many changes.

I have no credit, not bad credit, just no credit. How can i begin to establish credit?

I'm just starting out with establishing my credit. I tried to get store credit cards etc but every time they decline because I haven't a sufficient credit history, or references. How can i establish credit and is it true that a pre-paid credit card is a good way to start?I have no credit, not bad credit, just no credit. How can i begin to establish credit?
I just got a capitol one visa card last month. They offer a card for people with limited credit history. Basically what I am doing is charging one or two things, paying them off, and then hiding the credit card from myself!! That is what my parents advised me to do to start credit history for myselfI have no credit, not bad credit, just no credit. How can i begin to establish credit?
I started my credit with a prepaid credit card. It worked for me.
I would say no on the pre-paid credit card. Unless you want to pay an arm and a leg in fees to have it. Generally, the pre-paid ones charge half of your limit in fees to the card and you have to pay them back each month (with interest, of course). Financing a car is probably the best way to build credit, presuming that you make all of your payments on time.
Try applying for a bank type card instead of department stores...like Orchard Bank or First National Credit Card. I had almost the best of credit (gold cards, silver).. but had a hard time getting a Sears card. Go figure....

Building your credit is very important. Your ability to borrow money from banks in the future depends on your credit. Is building credit score important? Mom said NO and GF said YES?
I think building a credit is very important to every one. Sometime you may need a credit rating in the future for reference for something.
Boy, I hate to go against Mom, but in this instance your GF is correct. For way more reasons than she stated however. Future house purchases are just the icing on the credit cake. More and more employers are judging applicants at least partially on their credit score. Insurers base more than half of the decision to insure you and what your rates will be based on your credit score. Renting an apt, you guessed it, based on credit score.

Can you get utilities, cable, internet or a cell phone in your name... again, credit score.

Apply for a credit card. Charge your gasoline only. Pay the bill in full at least a week before it's due. After 6 months or so, apply for another credit card. Use it to buy lunch or breakfast once every other week. Pay the bill off in full. 6 months later... ETC.. After you have the oldest card for a year, ask to have the limit increased by $1000. Continue the pattern until you have 5 cards. Jsut make a small charge each month on each of the other cards. Less than $10. Pay them off early each month. Try to get them all issued by different banks if possible. You don't want all Chase cards for example. The application should say who backs the card you are applying for.

Here's why. Lets say your card has a $500 limit. You absolutely never want to have more than $100 charged on it ever. 20% would be the self imposed limit. This makes your credit useage ratio optimal. The ratio is 35% of your score. Payment on time is 35% and the rest is a bunch of other stuff. With 70% of your score being just those 2 things, you can see why they are important. Obviously the higher your limit on each card, the better your ration will be. The key to all of this is to absolutely never charge more than you can pay off at least a week before the payment is due.

By following this formula you will have an outstanding credit score in about 2 - 3 years and you'll be elligible for the best financing rate on any car or home that you can afford to purchase.

I hope this helps. If so, be sure to vote for me.
If you ever want to buy a house or car with a loan, or get a loan for anything, or even rent an apartment, they'll check your credit and want to see a good score. You'll need a good credit rating to get utilities turned on for somewhere you live without a huge deposit. Some jobs even check it before extending offers. So I'd say in this case, mom does NOT know best - 50 years ago she'd have been right or close to it.

But where mom IS right - don't get in over your head, and if you have a credit card, pay it off every month.
well shes just looking out for you because credit cards for the wrong people are a bankers best friend. your just spending money you don't have which is considered in the Bible as greed. Also look out for high interest rates. lol but yes its nice for you to buy a house and car which are needed in this day and age but obsessive shopping and useless debauchery are sin.

Sanctioned loan sharks. Stay away from them. What are these no credit no money no problem loan places?
If you are going on Yahoo Answers and asking people to figure out your monthly payments, you aren't ready to deal with this - you walk into one of those loan places or a car dealer, and it would be like a fat little mouse walking into a room full of cats!

You don't really want to get a loan where you will owe more than the car is worth - but that could easily happen to you since you'll get a loan with high interest.

You would be better off getting a cheaper/older car, even if you still have to finance it (though saving up for it and just buying it with cash is better). And get a toyota or a honda, they are the most reliable makes.

Let's put it this way - complaining about your car and maybe having to fix it for a few hundred bucks once or twice will still be much cheaper than an expensive car loan that you are stuck with for years.
There are several companies out there that do grant loans to individuals with poor credit assuming you have a weekly paycheck. I would not advocate using this type of financial unless it is absolutely necessary. It can be very expensive especially the fees they charge.

    http://www.worldbestloans.com/

However, there are also many, many loan sharks out there that will take your last dime with no remorse. You must be very careful in this area and check out every potential lender (better business bureau is a good source) and of course read the fine print very carefully.

Help how do I Repair Credit / Get Credit?

Back in 2002. I separated with my boyfriend. we were together for a long time but not long enough to be considered married. The house we had was in his name. The credit cards were in my name with him as a co-signer. same as the car. I was the one who wanted out because he was emotionally abusive. When we talked about the bills he said they were all mine. credit cards amounts about 6 grand or so. car about 5 grand and we shared the car. he wouldn't give me any money and I couldn't afford them all on my own. since they were things for house, vacations and such. I wanted him to help me pay them off. He refused. he said the house was all his cause his parents gave him the down payment. He later sold the house and moved out of state. giving me nothing even though I paid half of mortgage and no help towards bills. I paid when I could til I could not. I should have filed for bankrupts but I didn't. I just ignored the bills til they stopped coming. So wrong but I cant fix that now. last year one of the credit cards took me to court and I had to pay. My now hubby gets free legal so I was represented and I got a reduced amount. which I paid off. no one else has ever came after me or even sent me anything. now I am 40, no credit cards and no credit at all in my name. we want to buy a house but my credit shows nothing. The banker said he can see old things that showed delinquent back then. now we can only use hubby credit and salary since I have No credit and its hurting us. even thought I work they cant count my funds because of past problems. I tried to apply for small cards and were denied. everything we have is in hubby name. what can I do.Help how do I Repair Credit / Get Credit?
The reporting time period on negative accounts is 7 years and 180 days from date of first delinquency. If the debts were from 2002, they should fall off sometimes this year.

You will have to re-establish your credit. Go to your local bank or credit union open an account with $300 - $500 tell them you want a secured credit card. Use the card for small purchases like gas or food and pay the card off entirely each month on time.

Also you can open a savings account, save until you have $1,000. Tell your banker you want to take a installment loan out against the savings account. Take the money you receive and put it in your checking account to repay the loan. Pay it off in 12 months. Lenders like to see a mixture of credit, revolving, installments, personal loans.

After a few months you can try for an unsecured card again. Retail store cards and gas cards are normally easier to get.

It takes 24 months of consistent on-time payments to establish your credit rating.

FYI: On your being sued for the old debt, you should know that all debts have a time period in which legal action can be taken against you it varies by state. Here is a link to check your state's statute.

    http://www.bcsalliance.com/y_debt_sol.ht

If the statute is out then no one can sue you for the debt. This does not mean that the debt is not owed, it is owed forever, just that no one can sue you.Help how do I Repair Credit / Get Credit?
best thing to do is go to true credit .com and order that credit report also go to equifax and ask for a free credit report and start disputing them saying what you feel the credit reporting agenceys should do and it will be a couple weeks and itll be gone 30 days after score will go up dont pay people to fix youre credit i did and they messed it up even worse its always best to do it youreself
Credit repair can only be achieved through financial discipline and hard work. Any easy way out of a poor credit history is undoubtedly tempting, but it may lead to further financial difficulties in the future.
Get a secured credit card with your bank, they will require at least $300 to be placed in an account, use the card for small amounts and pay it off each month.

Get a credit card from local bank and pay it in time. You also can use this service to avoid common mistakes while buiding credit and pre-estimate future scores for different scenarios of payments - freecreditreport.sinfree.netHow do I obtain credit with no credit history?
If you can afford a new car, the best way to get a car loan is to go to a dealer, pick out a car that looks affordable, and then ask about financing. They want to sell the car, so they'll do everything they can do get you a loan.

If you want a credit card to establish credit, go to the bank where you have your checking account and apply for a card. If you're already a customer, and your student loan is in good standing, they should be able to get you at least a $500 limit.

But first of all, if you haven't done so already, check your credit report and make sure it's accurate.
If you aren't required to make payments on your student loan yet, and if your hospital bills are past due, then you actually have established some credit, but it isn't the kind you want. Don't worry, though, that CAN be fixed. You probably COULD find a car loan at a VERY high rate with your current situation, but you may be better off waiting a few months or so while you focus on your credit. Then you can get a decent rate and save a lot of money in the long run. I know it isn't easy to wait, but it could save you thousands of dollars overall. There are services out there that know how to do this quickly and efficiently based on their experience. Total Credit Care is one of those. You can visit their site at www.MyTotalCreditCare.com and check it out. It says they will review your credit with you for free! Good luck to you!
You should see about asking your parents about opening a credit card where you are both on it to get the credit. Many many years ago, stores used to let students open credit cards.
Have you been making payments on your student loans? You should be able to get a car loan you just wouldn't get the greatest rate.

  • How can someone with no credit or bad credit get a laptop with payments?

i am wanting a laptop with much memory and speed for web design. I work two jobs and can afford a payment but it is too hard to save up and pay all the cash at once if i was to buy one. Any suggestions. Dell already turned me down. How can someone with no credit or bad credit get a laptop with payments?
Look into buying a used laptop. You get less power and less capability, but if you're willing to do without the latest innovations and use older versions of software (eg. Opera 5 instead of Opera 8), you can still get a good deal with a lot of functionality. Recent laptops (2000 or later) do or should have USB ports, letting you expand the machine with devices when you can afford them.

You can find Pentium II 300MHz laptops on the internet for around US$200-300, and PIII 800MHz machines for about twice that. Maybe those prices are within your range. There's also the advantage that you will OWN a used laptop, rather than depend on credit.

Those who mentioned ';no credit'; sellers may have meant well, but the reality is far different. I read the 'Blue Hippo' ';deal'; and you will have to fork out US$400 before they send you a computer. Their ';plan'; makes no mention of how many weeks you will pay for it before you own it, and US$100 of that money is NOT toward the purchase. To top it off, Blue Hippo sets the price: if they say it's worth US$2000 (even if you could buy it elsewhere for US$700), you are stuck paying $2000 - or more - for a low-end machine.

I once worked for a ';rent to own'; business. Trust me, they are loathesome, scumsucking and soul draining ripoffs. You'll end up paying 3-4 times what the machine is worth and STILL probably not own it. ';Renting to own'; is the only ';payment plan'; that makes leasing look good.

Write to me if you want more advice on what to look for, my email is activated. How can someone with no credit or bad credit get a laptop with payments?
Yes Bluehippo.com will sell you a computer on weekly payments. No matter what your credit is.
    Rent-a-Center
Dell will give anyone credit to get a computer...just watch out for the interest rate.
Googling for 'no credit bad credit laptop financing' shows many hits for places that claim they will do this... However, there are factors to consider such as without assets such as owning a home, there's no guarantee to them that you won't hop the first bus out of town with their laptop. On top of that, even if they do grant you a loan, the interest rate would be so high that you'd be better off saving your money for it.

If it's that much of a hassle, maybe you should think twice about a laptop. You can go into a department store and get a decent desktop for a few hundred dollars these days that will do most of the things an average person is looking to do.
